🍄 FREE PATTERN:
MICRO AMANITA MUSHROOM! 🍄
Dreaming of learning how to micro crochet? 💭🧶 Then this pattern is exactly for you! Grab your smallest hook and thinnest yarn right now and give it a try. You can make your first miniature in just 30 minutes using basic stitches! ✨

Warning! ⚠️ Micro amigurumi is highly addictive! 😍 And your eye doctor might just scold you... 🤓🩺

Material and Tools:

  • Crochet hook of your choice
  • Yarn to match your hook: white (for the stem) & red (for the cap) ❤️🤍
  • Super glue gel 💧
  • Sharp scissors & round-nose pliers ✂️🛠️
  • Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

  • sc – single crochet (US) = double crochet (UK)
  • inc – increase (2 sc worked into the same stitch = with a shared base and separate tops)
  • dec – decrease PLEASE NOTE! When working with embroidery floss, make the decrease by skipping 1 st instead of crocheting 2 together, since this is much easier.
  • MR – magic ring
  • ch – chain
  • dc - double crochet
  • sl st - slip stitch
The whole toy is worked in spiral rounds; numbers in parenthesis (xx) at the end of the round show the total stitch count after completion of this round.

🤍 THE STEM (Part 1)

Note: Work from bottom to top! ⬆️

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Rnd 2: (2 sc, inc) x 2 (8)
Rnds 3-5: 8 sc around (8) [3 rnds]
Rnd 6: (2 sc, dec) x 2 (6)
Rnds 7-9: 6 sc around (6) [3 rnds]
Rnd 10: Remove the stitch marker. Ch 3 (counts as st), dc in the first st. 2 dc in each of the next 5 sts. Join with a sl st to the 3rd ch of the starting ch-3. Fasten off, leaving a 20 cm (~8 in) tail. ✂️

👗 THE STEM (Part 2: Skirt)

Pull the yarn tail out between Rnds 6 and 7 and make a loop. Ch 9 from this loop. Wrap the chain around the stem and sew it in place to create the little "skirt". 🧶✨

🍄🛠️ ASSEMBLY

  1. Hide all excess yarn tails inside the stem.
  2. Apply a small amount of super glue gel inside the cap. 💧
  3. With a quick, firm motion, press the stem into the cap to glue it in place.
