Just look into these bottomless eyes, don’t you agree that they can conquer anyone? This kind of dragon is special and very rare, and to find one attests to great luck. That’s why I invite you to crochet this charming pet with me.
Materials and tools.
- Embroidery floss in Main color, skein separated (stripped) into individual strands. (I used Gamma Cloud brand embroidery floss in color Pastel Blue). May be crocheted from thin sewing thread. The thinner the thread, the smaller the finished toy will turn out.
- Embroidery floss in color Sand (looks especially good when a color contrasting to the Main Color is used) for the horns and the tip of the tail.
- Small amount of black sewing thread (for embroidering the nostrils, mouth and claws).
- Rip-resistant sewing thread of floss for cinching (sewing thread held double may be used for this purpose)
- Crochet hook 0.5 mm [US Steel Crochet Hook Size 18]
- Colored toy glass eyes, diameter 4 mm [0.16 in]. I ordered mine here.
- Wire that will keep the shape well, diameter 0.5 mm [0.02 in].
- Wire cutters
- Tailor pins for pinning pieces together before attaching
- Glue gel, “Moment” brand super glue (the glue should bond permanently)
- Thin sturdy needle for sewing parts together, sharp scissors
- Sharp manicure scissors, safety pins, awl
- Stuffing (polyester fiberfil)
- A toothpick, tweezers or broken felting needle – used to insert stuffing.
- For blushing – watercolors and a thin brush.
