Hi there! Let’s crochet Dan, a cute and somewhat restless little cat. Don’t forget to leave a tiny ball of yarn for him to play with.
Materials and tool:
- Yarn in colors pastel yellow and white colors, a very small remnant of reddish-brown (pictured: Troitsk Deluxe 400 m / 100 g [436 yds / 1.75 oz])
- White mohair (Nako Mohair Delicate 500 m / 100 g [546 yds / 3.5 oz])
- Glass eyes diameter 4 mm [0.16 in]
- Black, white and pink crochet thread such as Gamma Iris [10 g / 82 m = 0.35 oz / 90 yds], thread for sewing on eyes, thread for cinching, black sewing thread, embroidery floss.
- Crochet hook 1.5 mm [US steel hook 8, UK 4½]
- Small amount of reddish-brown wool for needle-felting
- Thin felting needle # 38 (I used: “Gamma” brand three-pronged, star shaped needles)
(If you prefer not to needle-felt, you can embroider the stripes or paint them on with oil-based paint.)
- Large-eye sewing needle or bodkin for joining parts, and embroidery needle for embellishments
- Tailor pins, removable stitch marker for the beginning of the round (or paper clip)
- Stuffing (polyester fiberfil)
- Flat-nose pliers and round-nose pliers
- 2 disks diameter 9 mm [0.35 in], and 2 o-splints 1.6 x 20 mm [0.06 in x 0.8 in]
