Hi there! Let’s crochet this sad bunny, which begs to be held and comforted! At a whopping 30 cm [11.8 inches] from the soles of the feet to the tips of ears, its finished size rather diverges from my usual ones. Despite that, the bunny is very cuddly, ones wants to hug him all the time.
Materials and tools.
  • Yarn Alpina Vera, in color beige/grey. May be substituted with any other yarn of comparable yarn weight, such as YarnArt Jeans.
  • Iris Gamma embroidery floss in color dark green for nose and eyebrows.
  • Small amount of Iris Gamma for the white in the eye.
  • Remnant of any dark-gray yarn for eye embellishment
  • Rip-resistant thread for cinching. (I used the same Iris, held double.)
  • Crochet hooks 2 mm [UK / Canadian Size 14, US size 0] for the body of the toy and 0.75 mm [US steel hook size 14] to crochet the nose.
  • Black glass toy eyes, diameter 12 mm [0.5 inches].
  • Glue gel, “Moment” brand super glue.
  • 2 O-splints 2.0 x 25 mm [0.08 x  1.0 inches] for cotter pin joint
  • 2 hard discs diameter 18 mm [0.7 inches] for cotter pin joint
  • Round-nose pliers for curling up ends of cotter pin splint.
  • Large sturdy needle for sewing parts together.
